About Our Red Meat
Red Meat
We source our meat primarily from Australia and New Zealand. What’s the difference between grass-fed and grain-fed cattle you ask? Grain-fed cattle are fed grain products (think corn and grain) as compared to forage crops such as grass and sprouts. They get less exercise as compared to grass-fed cattle and are kept indoors more often.
Grass-fed cattle on the other hand are allowed much more time on the pastures and tend to be reared to a more matured age.
What this means is that grass-fed cattle tend to be leaner and have a stronger flavor while grain-fed cattle tend to have more marbling and is more tender & juicy. So it really comes down to your preference!
In any case, we ensure that all of the meat that we source for have met the Australian Animal Welfare Standard.
